Manager – State Income Tax Audits

Description:

Great role for a Manager currently in public accounting looking to make the transition to a large Fortune 500 Co. Multiple opportunities to rotate into different positions after a few years in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Interact with state & local income tax auditors, and manage all associated procedural matters
2. Research and write advocacy position memorandum
3. Interact with business unit and compliance personnel to gather required audit data and communicate audit results
4. Conduct tax research and factual investigations relevant to tax reporting positions
5. Review tax returns for potential refund opportunities and offsets
6. Analyze court decision and legislative changes for issues impacting state income/franchise tax filings

Requirements:

1. 7-10+ years of tax experience relating to State taxes

Salary:

$110,000 - $130,000 Plus Bonus Potential
