Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis

Description:

The Financial Analyst gathers data to understand the trends affecting a specific type of product, geographical region or industry to help management make important investment decisions. This position includes facilitating preparation and review of all budget and forecast processes. Prepares analysis of current or proposed operations and provides timely and concise recommendations to improve results and performance


Responsibilities:

  1. • Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support; prepare reports and projections based on financial data.
  2. • Recommend individual and collections of investments; evaluate current and previous financial data; study business and economic trends.
  3. • Build and maintain budget and forecast templates for use by managers; create ad hoc templates, reports, and analysis for use by managers to evaluate their businesses, including industry benchmarking.
  4. • Ability to sort/mine large sets of data from multiple data sources (General ledger, CRM, Excel) to identify trends/variances.
  5. • Collects/organizes financial application information and inputs into financial model.
  6. • Reviews and updates regulatory and government annual reports/surveys/census; possess strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  7. • Prepares and reviews the annual forecast/budgeting process from initiation to Board approval for their area of responsibility.
  8. • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
  9. • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  10. • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models

Requirements:

  1. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business; excellent analytical, verbal, and communication skills; 2-5 years of experience
  2. • High proficiency in Word, Power Point and Excel; promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude
  3. • The ideal candidate will have a management; strong project orientation, forecasting, budgeting and analytical skills; strong knowledge of Excel; excellent communication and organizational skills.

Salary:

$85,000 - $100,000 + Bonus
