Analyst – Private Equity Firm

Description:

Our client is looking for an Analyst to provide analytical and administrative support to the firm’s investment and portfolio management teams. Candidates will be offered an excellent hands-on working environment with experienced investment professionals in evaluating a variety of businesses, industries and private equity investments.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Process and review incoming investment memos and business plans
2. 2) Conduct primary and secondary research (prospecting, industry trends, competition, comparables)
3. 3) Perform financial modeling, deal structuring, and valuation assessments
4. 4) Perform business due diligence including references, customer/vendor calls, etc.
5. 5) Write and present deal introduction and investment committee memos
6. 6) Research market trends and competitive environments as part of exit opportunity analysis
7. 7) Participate in the decision making process for realizations of investments
8. 8) Support the development and cultivation of key business partner relationships
9. 9) Contribute to the overall group business development effort (recruiting, marketing, fundraising etc.)

Requirements:

1. 1) Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a rigorous discipline with a strong academic performance
2. 2) Ability to develop financial models with associated strong proficiency in Excel
3. 3) Strong personal organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
4. 4) Strong interpersonal and communication skills and work ethic
5. 5) Exposure to private equity, venture capital and/or corporate finance and accounting a plus
6. 6) Experience in investment management, investment banking or consulting a plus

Salary:

$65,000 - $80,000 + 20% Bonus Potential
