AVP & Controller

Description:

This is a unique role that offers includes a lot of operational/business management exposure, as well as traditional Controller responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Responsible for the development of wholesaler and management compensation data, review and reconciliation of that data, and calculation of compensation amounts and bonuses.
2. 2) Manage the monthly key business metrics, reporting and analysis for Senior Management.
3. 3) Effectively communicate results to provide insight into the business drivers while providing necessary information to make effective business decisions.
4. 4) Serve as primary resource for all financial reporting and modeling forming the foundation for the Company's operational and reporting environments.
5. 5) Identify, implement and maintain sound accounting processes to ensure strong financial management and controls.
6. 6) Provide direction as to structure and perform ongoing management of bonus programs for all sales incentive plans.
7. 7) Direct review of budget variance reports and expense details on a monthly basis. Independently create and present assessments and recommended actions to ensure that all areas remain within budget.
8. 8) Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
9. 9) Manage, coach and conduct performance reviews for all subordinates.

Requirements:

1. 1) Bachelor's Degree and 5-10 years of accounting/finance experience
2. 2) In depth knowledge of finance, business trending, company accounting and budget procedures
3. 3) Strong understanding of product and producer compensation administration systems and data
4. 4) Demonstrated ability to use financial analysis and reporting tools at an advanced level including Excel formulas, Access and Viewpoint
5. 5) Strong management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high visibility, time sensitive projects at once
6. 6) Strong understanding of all relevant financial, accounting and compensation regulations

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 + Bonus
