Credit Manager

Description:

Our client is looking to hire a Credit Manager to work for an internationally known brand associated with quality products.

The Credit Manager will work closely with the Corporate Controller. The ideal applicant should be energetic, detail oriented and a team player. Ultimately, the position is designed to reduce credit risk, minimize bad debts, and provide analysis to the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities:

1. • Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers and assessing credit risk
2. • Monitoring overdue accounts and following up with customers
3. • Negotiating payment terms and collection plans of customers
4. • Monitoring accounts on credit hold and releasing orders
5. • New customer setup and onboarding
6. • Working closely with salesmen and customers on the collection and maintenance of credit applications, D&B reports, and other pertinent customer documents

Requirements:

1. • BS or Associates in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or similar field required
2. • Proven work experience within a credit collections department
3. • Strong analytical skills and the willingness to provide analysis to Corporate Controller
4. • Excellent computer skills are essential, including Microsoft Office applications
5. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel – ability to create formulas, utilize vlookup, create pivot tables
6. • Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational and problem solving skills
7. • Work well in a team environment

Salary:

$80,000 - $90,000 + Bonus
