Group Controller
Description:
The Group Controller reports to the CFO of this growing manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
- • Lead role within the Finance organization, responsible for all aspects of the Business Unit financial organizations.
- • Work closely with site leadership to ensure achievement of financial targets, timely financial reporting and planning and forecasting.
- • Manage and develop Site Controllers to implement processes and reports to improve business profitability, operation performance and cash flow management
- • Coordinate with Corporate accounting team and external auditors to plan and execute annual audit for Machining business units.
- • Maintain an adequate system of internal controls through policy and procedure development and site monitoring.
- • Ensure proper costing methodologies at each site from standard costing to actual costing, proper rate development and variance analysis in a complex manufacturing environment.
- • Assist Machining Business Unit Vice President to drive overall business unit performance.
- • Review and approve Machining sites CapEx requests to ensure adequate financial and business justification.
- • Review and provide guidance on all customer proposals to support business revenue and profitability growth.
- • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and yearly business unit financial results.
- • Work with site leadership and Machining Business Unit Vice Presidents to develop annual and 5 year financial plan.
- • Support Machining sites operational initiatives to ensure that they are successful and enhance site performance.
- • Assist CFO and Machining Business Unit Vice President on all matters as necessary.
Requirements:
- • Position requires multi-site management supervisory experience.
- • 15+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- • 5+ years experience in a senior financial role
- • Must be willing to travel ~25%
- • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- • Strong IT skills – PC and ERP
- • Strong Costing skills, Standard cost , project costing and actual costing
- • Solid working knowledge of GAAP
- • Demonstrated experience of partnering with operations
- • Lean experience a plus
- • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required - MBA & CPA Preferred
Salary:
$140,000 - $160,000 (possibly higher) + BonusLocation:
