Group Controller

Description:

The Group Controller reports to the CFO of this growing manufacturing company.


Responsibilities:

  1. • Lead role within the Finance organization, responsible for all aspects of the Business Unit financial organizations.
  2. • Work closely with site leadership to ensure achievement of financial targets, timely financial reporting and planning and forecasting.
  3. • Manage and develop Site Controllers to implement processes and reports to improve business profitability, operation performance and cash flow management
  4. • Coordinate with Corporate accounting team and external auditors to plan and execute annual audit for Machining business units.
  5. • Maintain an adequate system of internal controls through policy and procedure development and site monitoring.
  6. • Ensure proper costing methodologies at each site from standard costing to actual costing, proper rate development and variance analysis in a complex manufacturing environment.
  7. • Assist Machining Business Unit Vice President to drive overall business unit performance.
  8. • Review and approve Machining sites CapEx requests to ensure adequate financial and business justification.
  9. • Review and provide guidance on all customer proposals to support business revenue and profitability growth.
  10. • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and yearly business unit financial results.
  11. • Work with site leadership and Machining Business Unit Vice Presidents to develop annual and 5 year financial plan.
  12. • Support Machining sites operational initiatives to ensure that they are successful and enhance site performance.
  13. • Assist CFO and Machining Business Unit Vice President on all matters as necessary.

Requirements:

  1. • Position requires multi-site management supervisory experience.
  2. • 15+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  3. • 5+ years experience in a senior financial role
  4. • Must be willing to travel ~25%
  5. • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  6. • Strong IT skills – PC and ERP
  7. • Strong Costing skills, Standard cost , project costing and actual costing
  8. • Solid working knowledge of GAAP
  9. • Demonstrated experience of partnering with operations
  10. • Lean experience a plus
  11. • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required - MBA & CPA Preferred

Salary:

$140,000 - $160,000 (possibly higher) + Bonus
