Senior Accountant

Description:

Works closely with the Corporate Controller, foreign subsidiaries and other Finance staff on a daily basis. Assists with special projects assigned by Management. May provides indirect supervision to one or more persons and has periodic interaction with senior level management.

Responsibilities:

1. • Prepares all documents relating to internal controls for financial management of operation in accordance with the established Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
2. • Assists with the preparation of financial statements and schedules for external reporting requirements to lenders, investors and audit requirements
3. • Coordinates and assists with year-end and preliminary audit work
4. • Reviews financial statements of each subsidiary for compliance with US GAAP
5. • Understand Technical Accounting Standards and provide thought leadership in this area when required
6. • Oversight of some treasury activities, including benefit plan filings (5500) and related audits
7. • Interfaces with senior level Management on a periodic basis
8. • Performs miscellaneous related duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

1. • Bachelor’s Degree with Major in Accounting or Finance
2. • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience
3. • Current or prior public accounting a must, including CPA
4. • Financial statement preparation and ability to coordinate among different entities
5. • Ability to research possible technical solutions for accounting issues
6. • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
7. • Highly detail oriented, organized in work, and desire to learn

Salary:

$70,000 - $85,000
