Senior Hedge Fund Accountant

Description:

Our client is a company that continues to rapidly grow it's top line revenue and continues to create new job openings. This is a great opportunity for a 2-4 year CPA track professional from a Big 4 or large regional/national firm that is looking to make the transition to private industry.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Daily/Monthly reconciliation of investment positions and market values
2. 2) Interaction with investment managers and prime brokers to resolve questions and reconciliation differences
3. 3) Daily supervision of one or more fund accountants
4. 4) Analytical review of daily and monthly results
5. 5) Review of daily hedge fund reports prior to distribution
6. 6) Interaction and regular communication with fund services managers and directors

Requirements:

1. 1) Four year degree in accounting or finance required
2. 2) 2-4 years of accounting experience, including some supervisory experience
3. 3) Willingness to learn new systems, concepts and broaden knowledge in the industry
4. 4) CPA or CPA candidate a plus
5. 5) Takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities
6. 6) Strong oral and written communication skills

Salary:

$68,000 - $80,000 + Bonuses
