Senior Investment Analyst

Description:

The position will be responsible for the in depth analysis of The Company’s general account net investment income (NII) both at the actual and plan level, in addition to assisting with the projection of investment earnings as related to earnings guidance provided to investors.

Primary responsibilities include supporting the GAAP analysis and forecasting processes through assisting in the creation of internal monthly and quarterly management earnings packages. This role includes significant interaction with portfolio management, various sector managers, and other Investment Finance functional heads.

Responsibilities:

1. • Analyze investment income results and develop improved variance analysis
2. • Assist in creation of presentations supporting senior leaders, earnings call preparation, quarterly business review, and other internal meetings
3. • Create detailed analysis of investment sectors in the general account portfolio, to best understand vulnerabilities to NII and overall portfolio yield
4. • Develop and support delivery of information related to invested asset portfolio trends, income impacts of trading decisions, etc.
5. • Work with Portfolio Management and the Asset & Liability Management team to develop assumptions and incorporate strategies into future projections
6. • Work collaboratively with the entire Corporate Finance team on variety of enhancement initiatives

Requirements:

1. • Proven track record of taking initiative to research and resolve issues
2. • Well developed analytical, communication, and documentation skills
3. • Ability to react and successfully balance multiple competing priorities in a dynamic, fast paced work environment
4. • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
5. • CFA/MBA/CPA or desire to pursue further degree/designation a plus
6. • Strong knowledge of capital markets with a desire to continue learning in a rapidly changing environment

Salary:

$70,000 - $85,000 + Bonus Potential
