Senior Investment Reporting Analyst

Description:

As the Senior Investment Reporting Analyst you are a key participant in the company’s investment reporting cycle. You will be responsible for transforming large amounts of investment data and information into presentations that tell the story of the Company’s portfolio. You will assist with analyzing company results for both internal and external parties, provide support to the investment front office, review deliverables and contribute to projects within the finance department as needed. The Senior Investment Reporting Analyst understands the fundamentals of reporting requirements, with an ability and interest to take on complex tasks while continuously building your skills and knowledge.


Responsibilities:

  1. • Produce recurring investment reports timely, accurately, and completely, including monthly portfolio summaries (“risk package”), parent company, client, daily front office and board of directors (BOD) reporting, and financial results and investment committee slides.
  2. • Develop new investment reports, as needed, to capture the impact of current market events or fulfill other ad hoc requests.
  3. • Coordinate with all levels of investment and finance management across the organization to gather, analyze and prepare internal and external investment financial reports.
  4. • Perform month-end portfolio pricing procedures such as reasonableness and completeness checks and price challenges.
  5. • Conduct annual pricing deep dives.
  6. • Support month-end close and reporting cycles.
  7. • Partner with team members to improve processes and workflows with an emphasis on building value, transparency and sustainability.
  8. • Review others’ work for accuracy and completeness.
  9. • Engage in active communication with business partners and the team regarding new strategies, accounts, trends, etc.
  10. • Produce analysis and reporting on increasingly complex areas and asset classes such as alternative assets and derivatives.
  11. • Fulfill ad-hoc requests as they arise.

Requirements:

  1. • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Data Science or Computer Science
  2. • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  3. • Solid understanding of investments, including fixed income asset classes and alternative investments
  4. • CFA certification, or progress towards one is a strong plus
  5. • Understanding of investment valuations and fair value leveling is a strong plus
  6. • Experience with Clearwater accounting system is a strong plus
  7. • Experience in PowerBI, Python, SQL and stored procedures is a strong plus
  8. • Strong Excel and data management skills
  9. • Critical attention to detail and developing analytical thinking skills
  10. • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  11. • Self-motivated with the desire to learn
  12. • Work both independently as well as in a team environment
