Specialist – Internal Audit

Description:

The Company's internal audit teams conduct risk-based audits and recommend strategic solutions to the Company's business units. Working closely with business unit management, the Internal Audit group utilizes the latest audit techniques and technologies to ensure that they are conducting value-added audits.

The Specialist position is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic audit professional who seeks to build on their existing audit, United States Government (USG) contract accounting, and regulatory experience through in-depth exposure to cutting edge aerospace businesses. The Internal Audit department is developmental in nature and employees are assisted in furthering career goals through training & development, strategic networking opportunities and eventual placement into critical business segment roles, after completing a two-year rotation. This group is seen as a premiere entry point into the business segments within the Company.

As a Specialist, you will perform reviews of USG contracts and USG business systems and processes, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls over regulatory requirements and identifying potential process improvement opportunities.


Responsibilities:

  1. 1) Assess USG regulations and the impact to internal audit processes and procedures.
  2. 2) Execute risk based audits of key USG business systems and processes.
  3. 3) Identify internal control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
  4. 4) Prepare clear, concise audit reports.
  5. 5) Present audit conclusions and recommendations to management

Requirements:

  1. 1) Three to five years of progressively responsible experience with Big 4 or regional public accounting firms, or internal audit experience with exposure to a manufacturing environment.
  2. 2) Domestic and/or international travel will average 10-20% of work time, and so applicants must be willing to commit to this travel schedule.
  3. 3) Demonstrated leadership competencies with the ability to work effectively across all levels and functions within the business and can easily manage a co-source relationship with third party audit firm when applicable.
  4. 4) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse teams toward operational efficiencies.
  5. 5) Strong oral and written communication skill and proven presentation skills.

Salary:

$75,000 - $100,000
