Tax Manager – Hybrid Schedule – SEC Co.

Description:

Supervises and helps manage the Company’s income tax accounting and reporting in accordance with ASC 740, SOX 404 requirements and U.S. banking regulations, the Company’s corporation income tax compliance support activities, and assists on audits by taxing authorities and in tax-planning projects.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Supervises and reviews income tax accounting provisions, prepares disclosures in GAAP financial statements, and performs complex tax calculations
2. 2) Supervises and performs tax compliance support activities related to the preparation and filing of corporation income tax returns and related filings
3. 3) Supervises, reviews and helps maintain compliance with SOX 404 documentation requirements
4. 4) Helps research complex tax-related matters and implement effects of changes in tax laws and regulations
5. 5) Helps implement policies, procedures and practices to enhance accounting for income taxes processes and compliance with tax laws and regulations
6. 6) Coordinates the exchange of documentation with external auditors and internal personnel for annual audit and quarterly reviews, including SOX 404 and internal audits
7. 7) Assists on audits by taxing authorities
8. 8) Assists in tax-planning projects, integrating acquisitions, and other special projects
9. 9) Supervises and helps develop tax staff

Requirements:

1. 1) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and solid understanding of financial accounting and reporting
2. 2) 5-10 years experience of corporate tax
3. 3) Big Four public accounting and/or large corporate tax department experience in banking / financial services industry is a plus
4. 4) Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel required, and ONESOURCE Tax Provision solution preferred
5. 5) Strong analytical, communication, organizational and project management skills

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 + Bonus
