Tax Manager

Description:

Exciting role to head up all tax related activities at the company. The Tax Manager is the key point person between the public accounting firm (that prepares all returns) and the company.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Stay abreast of new and proposed tax regulations and determine their impact on the company
2. 2) Coordinate with the external accounting firm. Gather all necessary documentation needed for tax planning and tax return preparation. Collaborate with them when researching tax issues
3. 3) Determine potential tax impact on proposed acquisition and/or special transactions
4. 4) Supervise, coach and mentor 1-2 staff
5. 5) Be proactive and take ownership on tax issues; keep Controller apprised on a timely basis

Requirements:

1. 1) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
2. 2) 2-7 years of tax experience in public accounting and/or private industry
3. 3) Takes ownership of tax issues, proposed solutions to problems, motivated to succeed

Salary:

$80,000 - $90,000
