Manager of SEC Financial Reporting

Description:

Our client is seeking a Manager of SEC Financial Reporting responsible for the preparation of external reporting, implementation of new accounting standards, assisting in the budgeting process and the management of certain accounting functions and systems. External reporting includes, but is not limited to, primarily all SEC and Regulatory reporting. Research and implement new accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and footnotes for Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
2. Prepare supporting documentation utilized in the quarterly press releases, investor presentations, and conference call scripts in order to meet the deadlines as established by the Investor Relations Department.
3. Assist Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly budget reporting as needed.
4. Assist with merger and acquisition activities as required. This would include providing assistance on due diligence, overall integration support, general ledger conversion and planning and determining the proper purchase accounting entries.
5. Provide guidance to other departments on accounting issues.
6. Continually improve efficiencies of report preparation to reduce errors and improve end to end process; including implementation of new information systems.
7. Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Minimum 7 years of SEC financial reporting experience required (can be all public accounting or a mix of public/private)
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, SEC reporting, regulations and compliance issues.
4. Ability to work independently and provide detailed financial analysis on reported results to upper management (both orally and written).

Salary:

$100,000 - $120,000 + 10-15% Bonus Potential
