Career Moves, LLC was founded in 2000 by Paul Wigglesworth, CPA to provide permanent placement recruiting services, exclusively in the accounting and finance fields. Prior to starting the firm, Paul worked in public accounting for 12 years (Big 4 and a Regional Firm) and was also a Controller in private industry for 3 years. Our clients include Connecticut based SEC and privately held companies in a variety of industries. Our candidates are top performing accounting and finance professionals (very often with Big 4/public accounting experience) that are contemplating their next career move. We are headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut.

We focus on the development of long-term relationships with both employer companies and candidates. This is done by investing the time to understand our clients’ businesses and the specific needs and requirements of their open positions, so that we can search for and locate the best available candidates in the marketplace. We work closely with candidates to understand their professional experience, areas of expertise, and career goals, so that we can help them find the ideal opportunity with the right company.
