Manager or Sr. Manager – SEC Reporting

Description:

We are recruiting for a Manager or Senior Manager of SEC Reporting for our growing client. In this role, you will manage the SEC reporting function and the analysis of business results. It's a great opportunity for a Manager currently at a Big 4 accounting firm or someone with a mix of public accounting and SEC financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and manage the drafting and filing processes for all SEC filings, including 10-K/10-Q, XBRL, 8-K’s and Proxy Statement
2. Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of two senior accountants and perform related supervisory/review duties, including review of 10-Q/10-K support, month-end close journal entries and account reconciliations
3. Perform financial analysis on the results of the business to be included in monthly internal financial reporting packages
4. Perform technical accounting research for various areas including goodwill, share-based compensation, revenue recognition, debt or other financing transactions, segment reporting, foreign currency and other matters and prepare related white-paper documentation
5. Review quarterly earnings materials prepared by Investor Relations for accuracy and consistency with other SEC filings, as applicable
6. Monitor FASB and SEC developments to identify and document the potential impact of new pronouncements or other authoritative guidance and manage the implementation of the related accounting and disclosure requirements
7. Complete special projects and prepare analyses for senior management requiring technical accounting research and analysis of financial information as requested

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA and 6+ years of current or prior Big 4 experience
2. Solid experience in SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting research
3. Strong leadership skills, able to effectively coach and develop staff
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary:

$120,000 - $160,000 Plus 20% Target Bonus
