Manager – Technical Accounting & Controls
Description:
The Manager, Technical Accounting & Controls is a member of the Corporate finance team reporting to the Assistant Controller who will work closely with key stakeholders to provide technical accounting support, including research and documentation, implement new accounting pronouncements, develop/update and communicate global corporate accounting policies and support the financial reporting and consolidation groups. In addition, this position will monitor and enhance as appropriate the Company’s internal control policies.
Responsibilities:
- 1. Perform technical accounting research, including the documentation and communication of accounting implications
- 2. Key participant in the evaluation, documentation, communication and implementation of new accounting pronouncements impacting the Company (i.e. revenue recognition and leasing)
- 3. Document and maintain the global accounting policies for a growing global organization including maintaining and updating a database of company-wide accounting policies
- 4. Key contributor in corporate accounting group in maintaining and, where necessary, establishing and documenting effective internal controls and procedures
- 5. Involvement in the purchase accounting, valuation assumptions and integration of newly acquired companies
- 6. Collaborate with business segments and prepare analysis and documentation around goodwill and long-lived assets
- 7. Involvement in the review of monthly and quarterly reporting packages from business segments and ensuring compliance with GAAP
- 8. Periodic balance sheet reviews of business segments to ensure GAAP compliance and company policy compliance
- 9. Interact with external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews on accounting matters
- 10. Assistance as needed in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reporting
Requirements:
- •Bachelor Degree in Accounting ; CPA or CPA track preferred
- •Big 4 or National/Regional public accounting experience
- •5+ years of accounting/auditing experience.
- •Strong organizational, writing and communications skills required
- •Knowledge and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act - Section 404 a plus
Salary:
$90,000-$110,000 Plus Bonus PotentialLocation:
