Tax Director – Insurance Co.

Description:

This is a high level tax role offering great exposure to executive management. In this role, you will oversee GAAP and Statutory tax filings, as well as coordinate special initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience at a large accounting firm or a mix of public/private.

Responsibilities:

1. Align with senior tax leaders to develop, communicate and implement tax strategy
2. Lead key tax functions and partner with key business leaders
3. Monitor established policies to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
4. Identify, recommend and implement process transformation and improvement initiatives
5. Support enterprise level initiatives, including but not limited to analysis and integration of merger and acquisition transactions
6. Foster relationships with external auditors/examiners and other key external constituents

Requirements:

1. 8-12 years of relevant tax experience in a large accounting firm and/or large corporate environment with experience in tax compliance, accounting, research and analysis
2. Experienced managing teams/staff
3. Advanced Degree or CPA preferred
4. Experience with U.S. Tax Provisions
5. Experience with GAAP and Statutory tax filings

Salary:

$110,000 - $140,000 + Bonuses
