Senior Accounting Analyst – SEC Company

Description:

This is a great position for a Big 4/Large Regional firm CPA with 3+ years of experience looking to make the transition to private industry in a Corporate Controller/SEC Reporting role. The Senior Accounting Analyst position provides a macro overview of the Company's operations and corporate business functions and the opportunity to interact with line of business and corporate teams throughout the enterprise. The role offers a mix of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, financial analysis, treasury and special projects exposure.


Responsibilities:

  1. 1. Contribute to the Corporate Headquarters monthly close including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. Provide support to business operations, as needed during the monthly close process.
  2. 2. Assist with the monthly consolidation of all domestic and foreign operations within the accounting system including monthly currency translation and intercompany eliminations.
  3. 3. Involvement in the review of quarterly Financial Reporting Packages. Provide support to business operations in preparation of the operations quarterly Financial Reporting Packages.
  4. 4. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and other required disclosures for all quarterly and annual SEC reporting.
  5. 5. Actively involved in treasury operations including cash reporting and forecasting, intercompany related activities and policy enhancements.
  6. 6. Key team member in the finance and SOX integration of acquired companies
  7. 7. Complete on-site business process and control documentation through interviews and walkthroughs with control owners at the various operations. Collaborate with the internal audit/Sarbanes-Oxley compliance group to ensure sound internal controls, in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
  8. 8. Key contributor in continuous improvement projects. Responsible for actively identifying areas of improvement and recommending action plans.
  9. 9. Interaction with external auditors for Corporate Headquarters financial reporting.
  10. 10. Assist in technical accounting research and implementation of new standards.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  2. 2-5 years of experience, (Big 4 or Regional firm experience a plus)
  3. CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  4. Well-developed communication, organizational and analytical skills
  5. Experience with preparation of SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) preferred
  6. Knowledge and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act - Section 404 and other Sections of the Act preferred.

Salary:

$70,000-$85,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus Potential
