Senior Accounting Analyst – SEC Company
Description:
This is a great position for a Big 4/Large Regional firm CPA with 3+ years of experience looking to make the transition to private industry in a Corporate Controller/SEC Reporting role. The Senior Accounting Analyst position provides a macro overview of the Company's operations and corporate business functions and the opportunity to interact with line of business and corporate teams throughout the enterprise. The role offers a mix of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, financial analysis, treasury and special projects exposure.
Responsibilities:
- 1. Contribute to the Corporate Headquarters monthly close including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. Provide support to business operations, as needed during the monthly close process.
- 2. Assist with the monthly consolidation of all domestic and foreign operations within the accounting system including monthly currency translation and intercompany eliminations.
- 3. Involvement in the review of quarterly Financial Reporting Packages. Provide support to business operations in preparation of the operations quarterly Financial Reporting Packages.
- 4. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and other required disclosures for all quarterly and annual SEC reporting.
- 5. Actively involved in treasury operations including cash reporting and forecasting, intercompany related activities and policy enhancements.
- 6. Key team member in the finance and SOX integration of acquired companies
- 7. Complete on-site business process and control documentation through interviews and walkthroughs with control owners at the various operations. Collaborate with the internal audit/Sarbanes-Oxley compliance group to ensure sound internal controls, in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
- 8. Key contributor in continuous improvement projects. Responsible for actively identifying areas of improvement and recommending action plans.
- 9. Interaction with external auditors for Corporate Headquarters financial reporting.
- 10. Assist in technical accounting research and implementation of new standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- 2-5 years of experience, (Big 4 or Regional firm experience a plus)
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Well-developed communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Experience with preparation of SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act - Section 404 and other Sections of the Act preferred.
Salary:
$70,000-$85,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus PotentialLocation:
