Head of Financial Planning & Analysis
Description:
The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) supports the CFO and the Finance team in their efforts to provide the Company’s business leaders with pro-active high quality financial information and analysis in order to gain business insight and support decision-making. The Head of FP&A is accountable for the annual planning process as well as the forecasting process. In addition, the Head of FP&A works closely together with the CEO and CFO with the assessment and communication of financial results, M&A activity and other special projects. The Head of FP&A manages the Financial Planning & Analysis team which supports all of the Company's business units. This role is highly visible throughout the organization with strong interaction with the senior leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- 1) Works closely with Company business leaders (US and internationally) to understand market and industry trends, as well as specific dynamics impacting the Company's businesses
- 2) Builds comprehensive and dynamic financial analysis and models to drive insight business operations and provide recommendations and key findings to leadership teams.
- 3) Assists in business case development, financial modeling and financial analysis
- 4) Leads monthly management reporting of financial results, forecasts and analysis
- 5) Supports M&A activity including due diligence, modeling and integration of potential acquisition targets
- 6) Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding company strategy, financial plans, new business planning, and operating forecasts
- 7) Financial review of business case justifications for business-wide projects, including new product introductions, product enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives
- 8) Make sure all employees are highly engaged; attract, motivate, develop and retain talent
- 9) Assist the CEO and CFO in various special projects, long-range planning, and M&A activity
Requirements:
- 1) A bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Investments or related field is required. Masters degree in Business Administration or Finance, CPA or CFA designation are preferred
- 2) Investment banking, Big 4 accounting, or management consulting experience is a plus
- 3) 10+ years Finance and business industry experience
- 4) 5+ years leadership experience in the insurance industry managing cross functional teams and influencing senior management; prior leadership and management experience required
- 5) Ability to effectively partner and influence senior level cross-functional teams
- 6) Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- 7) Strong people management skills, effective at coaching and motivating staff. Serves as a role model in building effective relationships
- 8) Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to lead discussions
- 9) Effectively and creatively utilizes all resources (systems, people, etc.) to manage daily operations
Salary:
$250,000 - $300,000 + BonusesLocation:
