Controller/Chief Financial Office (Family Owned Business)


Our client is seeking a Controller/CFO that will report directly to the President. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in accounting. They should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve the entities' financial and business objectives. Prior experience as a Controller or CFO is required.


  1. • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the entire financial office and their affiliated real estate companies and any future companies that they may acquire or form.
  2. • Managing annual budgets, hiring, terminating, and reviewing all financial staff.
  3. • Create financial statements for all companies monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  4. • Assist outside CPA firm with tax preparation for all companies and owners.
  5. • Assist owners with personal tax preparation and other reports and financial information they deem necessary.
  6. • Maintain optimal relationships with outside vendors, insurance companies, investment companies, 401k and pension advisors, banks, etc.
  7. • Assist owners in evaluating the acquisition of other businesses and real estate, and in the hiring of key employees.
  8. • Attend the quarterly board meetings with the outside accounting firm and complete all reporting in a timely matter for these discussions.


  1. • Must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college/university; must have prior experience as a Controller or CFO.
  2. • Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills including interpersonal, organizational, and telecommunications.
  3. • Must have basic computer skills to operate within the company system including a high level of proficiency in data analysis, particularly in Excel and QuickBooks.
  4. • Having a high-level understanding of creating reports and interpreting financial statements and information is imperative.


$125,00 - $140,000
