Controller

Description:

We are recruiting for a Controller for our client, a well established and respected law firm. The Controller will report directly to the management group of principals,

Responsibilities:

1. 1) The Controller will direct the operation of the finance and accounting department, including oversight of all financial issues.
2. 2) The Controller will manage all financial functions including, but not limited to, financial reporting and analysis, general accounting, cost accounting, accounting for income taxes, accounts receivable and payables, payroll and benefit accounting and budgeting.
3. 3) She/he should be familiar with software and technology systems, both as to what is generally available in the market and as to the systems that the firm has in place.
4. 4) The Controller will be expected to work collaboratively with the administrative team.

Requirements:

1. 1) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
2. 2) 8+ years of progressive accounting and supervisory experience
3. 3) CPA preferred
4. 4) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. 5) Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting, internal controls and technology systems
6. 6) Self-motivated, team player
7. 7) Strong attention to details, while also being able to see the big picture

Salary:

$120,000 - $140,000 + Bonus Potential
