Financial Accounting & Advisory Services Manager

Description:

Our client provides outsourced accounting services to emerging companies and they are searching for a highly motivated experienced Manager who is eager to make a difference in their client's businesses. In this position, you'll provide part-time Controller services to a variety of clients simultaneously. Being a key team member at several different clients will provide you with broad exposure to different businesses, management styles, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. • Develop and own strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to meet all of their accounting and financial reporting needs
2. • Participate in the development of and support the Client’s strategic plans
3. • Monitor the financial performance of Clients; compile and analyze financial reporting packages
4. • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets; develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
5. • Communicate financial metrics to senior management; provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments
6. • Review financial statements, including cash flow statements and note disclosure; research complex accounting transactions and document conclusions to ensure SOX compliance

Requirements:

1. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
2. • Solid working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS including complex areas such as revenue recognition, leases, equity compensation, business acquisitions and dispositions, impairment analysis, etc.
3. • 5+ years of experience in public accounting and private industry (Accounting Mgr., Asst. Controller, Controller) preferred; small to mid-sized company background is preferred; additional large company exposure a plus

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000
