Manager – Internal Audit

Description:

The Audit Manager position is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic audit professional who seeks to build on their existing audit, United States Government (USG) contract accounting, and regulatory experience through in-depth exposure to cutting edge businesses. The Internal Audit department is developmental in nature and employees are assisted in furthering career goals through training & development, strategic networking opportunities and eventual placement into critical business segment roles, after completing a two-year rotation. This group is seen as a premiere entry point into the business segments within the Company.

As an Audit Manager, you will perform reviews of USG contracts and USG business systems and processes, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls over regulatory requirements and identifying potential process improvement opportunities


Responsibilities:

  1. 1) Lead risk based audits, manage 1-4 auditors per engagement
  2. 2) Assess USG contracting accounting, business system, and regulatory risk resulting in the preparation and execution of specific audit programs
  3. 3) Identify internal control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement
  4. 4) Create process maps of significant financial, business and operational processes in order to recommend opportunities for improvement
  5. 5) Prepare clear, concise audit reports
  6. 6) Present audit conclusions and recommendations to management

Requirements:

  1. 1) Five to eight years of progressively responsible experience with Big 4 or regional public accounting firms, or internal audit experience with exposure to a manufacturing environment
  2. 2) Domestic and/or international travel will average 10-20% of work time, and so applicants must be willing to commit to this travel schedule
  3. 3) Demonstrated leadership competencies with the ability to work effectively across all levels and functions within the business and can easily manage a co-source relationship with third party audit firm when applicable
  4. 4) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse teams toward operational efficiencies
  5. 5) Extensive knowledge/experience in project management, strong analytical/problem solving and organizational skills

Salary:

$90,000 - $120,000
