Reinsurance Accounting Analyst

Description:

In this role, the Reinsurance Accounting Analyst will be responsible for technical accounting duties including high level analysis, processing, and booking assumed reinsurance statements in the sub-ledger system of record which includes monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement 3 days a week in the office (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

1. • Accurately perform technical accounting duties such as statement analysis, booking premiums and claims transactions, and cash allocation activities
2. • Complete financial settlement activities according to policy terms and agreements and timely management of overall cash flow
3. • Review and analyze statement submissions ensuring all required supporting documentation has been received
4. • Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with other functional areas (Underwriting, Claims, Finance) and clients to clarify and resolve queries, incorrect data, and missing information to facilitate timely and accurate statement processing
5. • Leads development, maintenance, and distribution of concise and accurate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting of accounts and ensures regulatory compliance
6. • Work on projects as part of the team and takes a lead role as opportunities and special projects are presented and assigned

Requirements:

1. • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field desired
2. • GAAP accounting & reporting experience desired
3. • 3+ years of accounting, reporting or finance experience
4. • Proactive individual with well-developed communication skills, analytical and documentation skills, and with high attention to detail
5. • Reinsurance accounting background a plus

Salary:

$80,000 - $92,000
