Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller (depending on experience)

Description:

The Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller is a critical position within the finance organization. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for a mix of accounting, financial reporting and financial planning & analysis activities. The Company is seeking a motivated accounting professional that has the potential to be promoted to higher levels in the future.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Using Excel, MS SQL Server, BI tools, and Epicor ERP, Complete complex bank and account reconciliations, extracting data from various sources and databases.
2. 2) Develop and implement an improved data reconciliation process.
3. 3) Provide Finance support through creation of reports and analyses that provide insight into performance and customer profitability.
4. 4) Analyze financial information that will support the Finance and operations team.
5. 5) Perform data mining and complex analysis on transactions and account.
6. 6) Assist in the preparation of analysis for key projects within the organization and other duties as assigned.
7. 7) Identify opportunities for cost savings.
8. 8) Assist with monthly and annual closing process, financial reporting and audit.
9. 9) Assist in budgeting and forecasting analysis and processes.

Requirements:

1. 1) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
2. 2) EXPERT in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to construct and understand advanced spreadsheets.
3. 3) Ability to be flexible, function independently and take a hands-on approach to problem-solving
4. 4) Preferred: Experience with databases (creating queries, etc.)
5. 5) Preferred: Public Accounting and/or auditing experience

Salary:

$70,000 - $100,000
