Senior Hedge Fund Accountant

Description:

The Senior Hedge Fund Accountant responsibilities include producing timely and accurate accounting reporting for assigned hedge fund investment portfolios. The individual is also responsible for performing the initial review of the daily and monthly deliverables through the running of daily controls, trial balance preparation and analytical analysis.

Responsibilities:

1. 1) Perform the daily and monthly processing, reconciliation, and reporting functions
2. 2) Prepare and reconcile month end packages to be sent to client
3. 3) Review and resolve differences on reconciliations against multiple custodians and/or asset managers
4. 4) Identify inefficiencies in the current production process and make recommendations on how to fix them
5. 5) Address ad hoc inquiries and assist on projects
6. 6) Liaise with clients and internal contacts on a day to day basis

Requirements:

1. 1) BS degree in Accounting or Finance
2. 2) Ability and solid understanding of accounting rules for investments under US GAAP
3. 3) 2-4 years experience of public accounting or investment accounting
4. 4) Strong analytical skills and ability to remain highly organized while maintaining strict attention to detail

Salary:

$65,000 - $80,000 + Bonus + Stock Awards
