Senior Manager, Global Tax & Accounting


The Senior Manager, Global Tax & Accounting manages all aspects of the Company’s global accounting for income taxes, income tax projects, and adoption of Accounting Standards Updates while also providing leadership, guidance and assistance for tax-related issues for less experienced staff. This position reports to the Tax Controller.


  1. • Responsible for global tax accounting activities and reporting of income taxes in accordance with ASC 740 under U.S. GAAP
  2. • Lead quarterly processes to analyze and reconcile income tax accounts
  3. • Assist with tax purchase accounting process associated with M&A activity
  4. • Assess and coordinate the tax implications of significant accounting and policy changes by the Company
  5. • Develop strong working relationships with finance and tax colleagues both in the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions
  6. • Understand, manage and improve the tax accounting processes and deliverables
  7. • Develop and maintain a complete understanding of the tax internal controls environment and update controls as business developments dictate as required in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  8. • Draft tax accounting research memorandums supporting the proper tax accounting treatment of material transactions
  9. • Determine the impact of significant transactions and events, purchases, dispositions and changes in global business operations
  10. • Analyze potential tax exposures and determine appropriate tax reserves pursuant to ASC 740
  11. • Responsible for the preparation of tax footnotes and other income tax disclosures for SEC filings
  12. • Manage, develop, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback


  1. • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required, Advanced degree (e.g., MS in taxation) strongly preferred
  2. • 8+ years of corporate income tax experience within either a corporate tax department, public accounting firm, or a combination of both; CPA preferred
  3. • Relevant application of skills and demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP Tax accounting (ASC740) & U.S. Federal income tax laws (including consolidated return rules) as they apply to a complex U.S. multinational company
  4. • Strong working knowledge of ASC 718 and related tax accounting implications
  5. • Strong working knowledge of partnership accounting and related tax accounting implications
  6. • Ability to manage and lead both employees and outside consultants
  7. • Ability to supervise, delegate and manage others with tax research and compliance issues
  8. • Must have well-developed interpersonal skills required to communicate with people of many levels
  9. • Hands on experience with tax provision software such as OneSource, and using ERP systems such as SAP a plus


$150,000 - $175,000 + Bonus
