Technical Accounting Specialist

Description:

Our client is a well respected Fortune 100 company. This is a great role for a Big 4 CPA looking to make the transition to private industry, or someone with a Big 4/private mix of experience. You will have the opportunity to rotate into other positions within the company in the future.

Responsibilities:

1. •Review contracts and agreements, research relevant accounting guidance, recommend accounting requirements for complex and/or non-routine transactions
2. •Assist with evaluating the accounting implications of potential transactions and provide input and suggestions to planned and proposed agreements or transaction structures
3. •Prepare technical accounting memorandums for significant transactions and support the review process with management and external auditors
4. •Assist with implementation of new accounting standards
5. •Respond to, solve and make decisions on standard and/or routine business and accounting policy interpretation requests with limited risk
6. •Support Assistant Controller and/or Controller in ad hoc projects

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
2. CPA preferred, but not a must have
3. Experienced Big 4 Senior or Manager (or mix of public accounting and private); 5+ years of total experience

Salary:

$90,000 - $115,000
